Scenic viewpoint over the Mont Blanc Massif at the edge of the Aiguilles Rouges
and Carlaveyron Nature Reserves.
From the Route des Moussoux, go up the Montee des Moentieux as far as the Petit Balcon Sud path. Cross over it and follow the winding path that leads up through the woods until you meet the trail coming from Le Bois Prin and Les Bossons. Take the path to the right through the forest and across an avalanche gully to Plan-Lachat (ruins) (1,576 m) — a 1.5-hour hike. Leaving the Gardes footpath on your right, continue through the clearing and into the forest past a large rock that emerges above the trees. The path then winds its way on upwards until it comes out at Bel-Lachat.
