The Arc’teryx Alpine Academy, the world’s biggest educational event for mountain enthusiasts, returns to Chamonix for a milestone 10th year, from July 1-4 2021. Over the course of four days, this celebrated event brings together the alpine community in an environment where they can enhance and elevate their mountain skills and connect with like-minded people. This year’s Arc’teryx Alpine Academy will present a series of in-person clinics led by world-class mountain guides and athletes in the Chamonix mountain range, as well as a daily program with worldfilm premieres, guest speakers sessions and free activities in the Alpine Village in the heart of Chamonix, Place du Triangle. Participants will get to share their knowledge and passion for adventure with members of the local community in the birthplace of Alpinism. For those who want to get involved and inspired but can’t make it to Chamonix, presented movies and speaker sessions will be available online.
Over 30 clinics will take place across a variety of disciplines such as mountaineering, trail running, climbing and outdoor photography. The clinic program caters for all levels of expertise and mountain knowledge, from beginner to advanced. Highlights this year include new photography clinics, women’s trail running, a clinic on “Climbing & Mental Strength” as well as “Trail Maintenance”, focusing on the environmental impact of trail use and how users can help to protect routes. Once again to manage high demand, Arc’teryx will operate a registration draw to ensure everyone gets an equal chance of securing a place at their chosen clinic.
